The Hillcrest Hotel is situated close to Chester, Manchester and within easy reach of Liverpool and Liverpool Airport. Our modern hotel is in a rural setting with easy access to the M6, M57 and M62.

The Hillcrest hotel is ideally located for overnight stops for those en route to the Lake District or the South of England as it is close to all motorway networks.

visiting family
Beautiful clean crisp entrance and reception area. Room was nice with a view. Clean white fluffy towels.
The shower tray, toilet and sink themselves were clean, but other bits weren't. A little tired too. Huge bed but you could feel the springs come through. When booking the room description stated it had a bath, this is a luxury having only a shower at home, however there was only a shower. If we had been staying more than one night I would have asked if we could have a different room.

Overall ok for a room for the night but the hotel offers nothing else, I wouldnt recommend
Smooth check in, the lift was not working so the receptionist offered to carry my case which was appreciated. I had a good nights sleep (I was there for 2 nights) and there was no noise at night, my room overlooked the main road but I didn't hear any traffic. Local taxi service is very good.
The bar and restaurant are not open but no explanation as to why its closed. The restaurant is open in the mornings for breakfast which is cereal, toast, cooked english breakfast and hot/cold drinks (which is cordial) There was a fruit bowl and yoghurts in a mini fridge with one bottle of milk. There are no staff in the restaurant, the chef is in the kitchen which is behind the area you get your breakfast. There are 4 floors as we walked upstairs after checking in I could smell smoke, although all the rooms are no smoking I mentioned this to the receptionist. The room was clean, although I noticed when I was leaving the the duvet had stains on it. The bar and restaurant is not open, the hotel should let you know at time of booking the bar is not open and unable to order food or have a meal in the restaurant, this is misleading. There is a nice Italian restaurant nearby (pesto's) five min walk which is nice, very good customer service and a couple of bars/pubs near pesto's, I cant comment on these as didn't visit. The TV in the bedroom didn't work properly there was only 4 channels available through BBC I player, maintenance tried to fix this but said the aerial was broke and advised me I could log on to my own Netflix, prime accounts.
